Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Lately, I've been growing tired of my current screen name, for a number of rather mundane reasons really, nothing major. I heard that deviants can now change their usernames, but only if they have premium memberships but I am unable to afford a premium mebership for the following reasons;

1.) My parents cannot be convinced to pay for a premium membership only so that I can achieve the same results as changing accounts.
2.) I'm more broke than the U.S. govt.

So, I've decided to start taking commissions as a means to an end, taking both points or a premium membership. I believe my gallery should speak for itself reflecting what I can do, if anyone's interested. I only have two questions;

1.) Can you pay for a premium membership with points? And if so, does this mean you have to pay for anything yourself?
2.) If your given a premium membership or points, do you have to pay for anything yourself?

My grandfather said that I'm allowed to charge again on the paypal in the middle of June. I can get you the lowest costing premium membership so you can change your name.

As for the questions:

1. Yes you can pay with points. The only thing you have to pay for yourself is, well, the premium if you're paying with your own points

2. Nope. The only way you'd have to pay for something yourself is if the points are given to you for the membership. Then you have to use them to buy it. Otherwise, no, you don't have to pay for anything yourself. Hell, I should know, I bought D3 that year long premium for his birthday once xD
